Goldcrest Chemicals market a wide range of ready to use adhesives under the POLYTAB brand for applications in textile colour printing on high speed rotary and traditional flat bed print machines.
The polyester and cotton fabrics used, are glued to the endless belt of the print machine and are then printed through the colour screens. The adhesive must hold the fabric in exact fit without any movement as up to 20 colours are applied to the fabrics surface. The colours contain a high percentage of water and each design further wets out the fabric, weakening the adhesive bond between belt and fabric, and inviting the fabric to move out of line with the design. The correct choice of POLYTAB grade is essential in guaranteeing the final quality of the printed fabric.
The POLYTAB ranges include adhesives based on high performance modified polyvinylalcohols, starches and dextrin's and are available in powder and ready to use liquid forms.
